"#5!"

It's actually true. Sony does suck. They suck so much I have to say it here. SONY SUCKS.

It's funny, though. Everybody can go back and forth about the two, but whenever you bring Nintendo into it, you really can't say anything bad about 'em.

"NINTENDO SUCKS!'
"-whoa whoa whoa whoa. Come on."
"Yeah, you're right, sorry."

You just can't say anything bad about Nintendo. Yeah, so the Wii doesn't have the greatest hardware in the world, but if you can find a better system for you and your pals to play, show me. Yeah, you can't.

"Quick new-gen recap. Or "Nintendo wars.
"

1. That first panel is very reminiscent of Evan Dorkin. Me likey!

2. If the Wii wants to market to traditional "non-gamers" as it claims to be (ie-"women", "small children", "old people"....oh friggin gag me!) like we're some king of second class gaming citizen....fine. But in order for it to be successful, they've picked the wrong group to do it....I mean...the Wii-mote? That requires the sort of motor skills that these people simply do not possess, especially if this is their first foray into videogames. I hate hate hate that controller. And to be perfectly honest, ALL of the new-gen consoles have yet to impress me, which is sad because I really wanted to get excited about at least one of them. The PS3 had it's promise, but where are all the games? The Wii has neat concept games, but those are only fun for like 10 minutes. Who wants to game standing up and flailing around? Not me. The 360? Well, hello Microsoft, you should have stuck with software but your hardware sucks more than your operating systems.

Nintendo is ok in my book. But ONLY because of their handheld market. There's a psychological sell for ya, PRIVATE gaming, which let me tell ya, works like a charm. Women love it! Kids love it! And old people...kinda like it...sometimes, but the buttons are "too small" for them. I hate it when people watch me play video games (and well, everything else for that matter); which could be partly why I limit myself to handhelds and the "PC" (Mac). I looove my sexy black DS lite and all the other Gameboys I've ever had (I still have the original "grey brick" I got for my 10th birthday!), but everything since the SNES--console wise--sucks balls and that's my 2 cents. So there.
Nintendo's biggest asset in their handhelds is that while they may make changes the graphics and visual quality of the games, they never change the way they're played : control pad + a button + b button. That's it! You never have to adapt to a new controller everytime you want to get a new system! And it's perfect! No dual-joystcks, no triggers, none of any of that extraneous control krap. 3 buttons. And they expect ust to just jump over to some motion-sensored buggy-ass controller throwing competition? No thanks. I'll stick with my move, hop, and action commands. But then again, I am old. And mean. It should have worked like a charm.
